Microneedling is a skin procedure to assist in your skin’s natural ability to repair itself.  This treatment is an affordable and effective treatment  that provides natural-looking results with minimal to no downtime.  At The Preserve, we use a high-speed, automated micro-needling pen to create hundreds of microscopic channels into the top layer of your skin to stimulate the natural production of new collagen and elastin. This process helps improve your skin texture by leaving it smoother with new fresh skin and is effective in reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, sun damage, hyper-pigmentation and scars. It can be used almost anywhere on the body, including the face, neck, décolleté, arms, hands, and is also a treatment for stretchmarks on the abdomen, hips, arms, and chest.

Our patients choose microneedling because of the following benefits:

• Affordable• Effective• Minimal Downtime• Minimal Discomfort• Safe for Most Skin Types• Natural Results

Our licensed estheticians will attach a sterile tip containing 12 tiny micro-tips is attached to the microneedling device.  Next, in a single motion, the pen will be gently pressed against the skin while simultaneously gliding in one direction until the entire treatment area has been covered.

What does it feel like?

The feeling is sometimes described to sandpaper being moved across the skin.

What is the downtime?

Immediately after the treatment, you will notice a bright redness to the skin. The total recovery time depends on the position of the pen and the number of overlapping passes our licensed aesthetician performs. On average, patients are red for 2-4 days. Some patients heal completely in 24 hours. It is important to follow all post-care instructions to ensure the safest recovery possible.

When will I see the results?

You may notice an immediate “glow” immediately after treatment. Visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Results can continue to improve up to 6 months after the treatment.

How many treatments will I need?

Some patients only require a single treatment once a year to achieve optimal results. However, it is recommended for most patients to receive a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart. For patients with concerns about deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks or acne scars, it is recommended to receive 6-8 sessions at 6-week intervals.
